Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)
The LCAP is required for all schools and charters. It addresses the state priority areas and is tied to Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) monies. The LCAP is valid for 3 years, with required annual updates. The LCAP is more than just a compliance process. A well-designed plan helps school leaders identify areas of need, leverage resources, and engage diverse stakeholders in the school community.
We help guide you in creating an LCAP that is reflective of your school, compliant with state guidelines, and operationally achievable. We begin by reviewing your core documents and meeting with key people to understand your school, philosophy, and programs. In consultation with your lead person, we will complete a draft plan for review and discussion. Following the review, we will draft the final plan for submission and approval. Once the plan is complete, we will guide you through the approval process. We can also support you through your annual LCAP compliance audit that has recently been added to the list of audits required by charter schools.
